Nyinthün: A Day of Peaceful Abiding

July 24th

If you are looking for the kind of refreshment that might only arise from a full day of meditation practice, please join us for one or all of these bi-monthly, 9-5 Saturday nyinthüns. These full-day practice sessions are oriented toward, but not restricted to, experienced practitioners familiar with Shambhala forms, Noble Silence, and periods of sitting/stationary practice up to 45 minutes at a time alternated with movement practices such as shamatha yoga and walking meditation. There will be scheduled bio breaks including a 1-hour lunch period, and one session of contemplation followed by mindful conversation.

When you register, please use the comment field to note when you plan to attend, and to request basic meditation instruction before or during the program, or request more information about Shambhala or anything related to this program. You may also contact the program coordinator directly with questions and concerns either before or after registration to Claire Dana at [email protected].

Soon after completing registration you will receive an automated confirmation letter with a detailed program schedule. If you don’t see that automated message within a few days, please check your spam folder or any other place your helpful email provider likes to send stuff it thinks is suspicious.

The link to the Zoom meeting will be sent out the night before the program to the same email address you used to register. If that will be problematic, please send Claire an email with instructions.

If you would like to try a practice day with less formality and more conversation, consider one of our 9-5
Sunday “Open House” practice programs: details will vary, but these will always have more built-in opportunity for conversation as well as instruction and practice.
