MEDITATION IN EVERYDAY LIFE (MIEL) in Bloomington
Five Tuesday evenings: March 7, 21, 28, April 4, 11. 6:30-8:30pm.
(Does not meet March 14)
Meditation in Everyday Life, the first class in The Way of Shambhala series, is open to everyone and introduces students to peaceful abiding meditation while offering practical suggestions for developing a meditation practice at home. This core path course is designed to complement Shambhala Training Level I, although you do not have to have taken Level I to attend MIEL.
Through talks, contemplations, and discussion groups, we will explore the ways that mindfulness meditation might influence our daily lives, our health, and our society. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the challenges students face in their personal meditation practice. This program is open to everyone. There are no prerequisites.
Class size is limited. You must pre-register. Payment may be made at a later date. If finances affect your ability to participate, please contact the course coordinator, Sarah Flint ([email protected], 812-330-0706) to learn about our generosity policy.
The classes will be held in the home of Winnie Edgerton, 4211 E. Boltinghouse Road, Bloomington, IN 47408. Feel free to contact Sarah Flint for directions, particularly if you are not familiar with the area.
